Settled in 1642, Lexington has flourished with a current population of approximately 32,000. Famous for the site of the first shots of the American Revolutionary War in 1775, Lexington has always been popular from its role in history.
For numerous years the town was primarily a farming community which served produce to Boston. However, as of the 1960’s, many of the farms had been slowly becoming developments for housing. Soon after with numerous business emerging along the 128 corridor, Lexington became a prime town to live in for professionals and property values began to rise as a result.
Nowadays, Lexington is among some of the best school systems in the state of Massachusetts. This combined with quaint homes and a lovely town center with art galleries, shopping and dining opportunities make Lexington a highly sought after community.
