Cambridge is located along the north side of the Charles River and is home to prestigious schools including Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For this, Cambridge is well known around the world.
Commonly referred to as “The city of squares” due to the number of squares that the city has including Harvard, Inman, Central and Kendall Squares. Each with their own personality, all areas offer various services for their residents from shopping to dining.
During the 1980’s, companies namely in the tech industry began playing a role in the popularity of Cambridge. Lotus opened up there and was followed years after by biotech firms including Genzyme, Biogen and Novartis. Nowadays, the Kendall Square area has become home to many additional tech companies including Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
